Corporate Social Responsibility
Bush Hotel is privately owned and managed by ourselves, the Dolan Family who have long established local roots and great affinity towards our community. In a local context we are a significant employer and it has always been our policy to place great emphasis on participation in and support of community life. After all our customers, our employees and our suppliers are for the greater part from the local area and are an integral part of our community.
‘Corporate Social Responsibility’ is not a new concept at the Bush but is something that we have being (proudly) doing naturally and informally and on an ad hoc daily basis since we opened our business almost 30 years ago in March 1993. However we have recently developed a formal Corporate Social Responsibility Policy which further reinforces and consolidates our position as a responsible, caring and respectful business in our Community giving us a competitive advantage in the market place and also importantly generating a tangible feel good factor and further motivation in our employees, guests and suppliers.
We are particularly strong on the impact of our business on the environment and have received much national and international recognition in this context. We have also been acknowledged as an SME with a huge passion and appreciation of our local community and many local initiatives we are privileged to support; our colleagues in business, disadvantaged, youth, sport education and culture.
Whilst our CSR policy is formulated and resourced by management at the Bush Hotel delivery is enabled by our wonderful employees at the Bush whom we consider as our single greatest resource. Our CSR Policy will never be complete. Whilst we continuously monitor our performance we are conscious that we must also continue to develop and adapt to our ever changing environment.
